Were the Constantinos Haunted?

Mark and Debbie Constantino also known as the “Constantino’s” were known for their unique ability to capture live EVPS.  About 5 years ago I was introduced to them at the Washoe Club during at a GAC event.  Over the five years that we knew Were the Constantinos Hauntedeach other we had always remained in contact and became friends.  We would often call each other to share paranormal experiences, and advise each other on paranormal cases .  I had always knew the Debbie and Mark Constantino as being kind, loyal, extremely giving, and as great friends.  Without them I can say that I would not be were I am today. Back in late November of 2014 I did not know that the investigation that we preformed at the Washoe Club in Virginia City where our paths had originally crossed would be the final time that I would get to investigate with them.

Were Mark and Debbie Constantino Haunted?

Since I met the Constantino’s they had always believed that something was haunting them.  However as time passed these thoughts of an entity following them and haunting their home only increased.  Both Mark and Debbie as evidenced in this video clearly seemed shaken up by the EVP that was captured at 2:01:08, little did we know at the time that this EVP was very telling of the events that were about to unfold.  Could they have been under attack by a demonic presence, or was it just due to mental illness?  These are the questions that will forever haunt us.

Although many people have a negative view of them due to the circumstances that led to both of their deaths they will always remain in my thoughts.  Rest in Peace Debbie and Mark.

Tim takes on a tour of new haunted house that he will be investigating with the livescifi.tv crew during the month of October. The house is located in Northern California and is referred by locals, and even the current owner as the Hell House. This haunted home is situated on a 1/3rd of acre, but is only a 1 bedroom house. The home is only 80 years old however, it has been the site of numerous deaths, and has drove many people to the brink of madness. Recently the hell house has been the site of numerous satanic rituals, which have made the paranormal activity in the home even more violent.

Some of the claims of paranormal activity include:

  • Shadow Figures
  • Disembodied Voices
  • Poltergeist Activity (objects moving)
  • Violent Physical Attacks
  • Demonic Possession
  • Walls Bleeding
  • Strange light phenomena in and outside of the house

Top 10 Ouija Board Rules That Should Never be Broken

$

If you look online, there are lots of sites who provide “ouija board rules” for how to safely use the spirit board. In fact, Tim Wood wrote an article about that exact thing–you can find and read that here. Tim Wood was focusing on the ouija board rules that William Fuld, who created the first spirit board, provided.

But the Ouija board has developed into a different beast from what Fuld thought in the 1890s. Back then, the Spiritualist movement was huge in Europe and the Americas. Everyone was trying to contact the spirit world without thought or care about safety. But in 2017, we know a lot more about the Ouija’s effectiveness as a communication tool–and its dangers.

Top Ten Ouija Board Rules (That Should Never be Broken)

  1. Never use the Ouija board alone. The Ouija was designed as a game with multiple participants and usually just two. When someone uses the board alone, they are defenseless against whatever entity might come through. Being alone makes a person vulnerable to negative energies. Yes, Tim uses the board alone constantly but you are not Tim Wood. Think of it this way. There are lots of people who compete in cliff diving because they have trained and have the necessary knowledge about the dangers to protect themselves. Just because Tim (who has the training and knowledge to use the board alone) dives off a cliff doesn’t mean you should follow like a lemming.
  2. Never try to deliberately contact a demon. This should be a no-brainer, but it’s not. Zozo frequently makes an appearance when Tim is doing a Ouija session, and I’ve watched as people respond to that. “Oh, cool!” “Yay! Zozo’s here!” “I want to contact Zozo too–” No, you don’t. There is nothing remotely cool about being stalked by a demon. Any demon. And as Tim and I concluded in our book, Stalked by the Zozo Demon, Zozo isn’t an actual demon. Zozo is an alias that a multitude of demons and negative entities hide behind for only one reason–to find new victims. If you open the door intentionally for “Zozo” to enter, you are inviting a world of trouble into your life, and demonic trouble isn’t “cool”. It’s lethal.
  3. Never try to contact a recently deceased loved one on the board. Grief is hard to handle, especially when it’s new. That Ouija board up in the attic or the top of the closet seems like a great opportunity to talk to your loved one. But when you’re in a serious emotional state, you are particularly vulnerable. Using the Ouija board opens you up to predatory spiritual influences. Instead of finding closure for your loss, you are opening the door for things that are much, much worse.
  4. Never believe what an entity tells you in a session. Seriously. Never. Entities will try all sorts of things to find a way to squeeze into your life. They may reveal knowledge about you that no one else in the room knows. I’ve had that happen to me personally. They may tell you secrets about other people. They may identify themselves as the ghost of a friend or family member and ask you to do things for them. Don’t. Keep in mind that demonic entities never willingly give up their names. They disguise themselves in order to gain access to what they really want. You.
  5.  Never use the Ouija in a haunted location, or one with a history of extreme violence. Yes. I know. LiveSciFi does this all the time. But we’re trying to instigate paranormal activity when we do that. We’re not just sitting around, swilling beer and trying to scare each other. To us, the Ouija board is a tool we use so we can document paranormal evidence. We know how to protect ourselves and have years of experience doing just that, and very few people have the ability to do that. We also know how to keep things from following us home, and if you’re messing around with a Ouija board in a severely haunted location you might find you have an unwelcome guest at your house that you can’t get rid of.
  6. Never provoke or antagonize an entity you contact on the board. It looks really cool to watch a ghost investigation on TV or YouTube and see the investigators provoking the spirits. But what looks cool when you’re sitting safely in your living room can very quickly turn nasty if you’re in a haunted location. Tim has come out of Ouija sessions scratched ten ways to Sunday–evidence we document and analyze as part of our investigation. We’re professionals. You’re not. Don’t bring all that down on yourself.paranormal activity house for sale
  7. Never keep the session going if something–or someone–unexpected turns up on the board. Let’s not beat around the bush. If you’re at a party and the planchette starts to spell Z-O-Z-O? Shut that session down immediately. If a response comes up that scares you, say goodbye and close the board. If paranormal activity starts up in your normal, non-haunted house? Close out the session and put the board up. Which leads us to–
  8. ALWAYS close your session out properly. There’s only one way to do that, and that’s to calmly and firmly say. “Goodbye.” while moving the planchette to “goodbye” on the board. Leaving a Ouija board open is the equivalent of leaving your car unlocked, keys in the ignition, with a bank deposit bag on the front seat.
  9. If your Ouija board is inhabited by a negative entity, dispose of it properly. Yes, there’s a way to properly get rid of a haunted board. DO NOT BURN THE BOARD. That just releases the spirits inhabiting the board to do whatever they want–and it will be to you. Don’t be a jerk and give the board to someone as a “gift”. Break the board into seven pieces, sprinkle it with holy water, and bury it someplace no one will ever find it. (That means not in your back yard.)
  1. Always remember that the Ouija board is NOT a game. Despite the fact that the modern Ouija board is manufactured by toy companies and marketed as toys, and found on the shelves of any ToysRUs in the world, this is not a game. Spirit communication can be dangerous. We hear stories all the time about how people have their lives destroyed as the result of “playing” on the Ouija board. Yeah, we call it “playing Ouija” on investigations, but we approach the board very seriously. And we, too, have dealt with serious repercussions from using the Ouija board, something you can see for yourself in any LSF video. Might want to particularly check out this one .

This Halloween, take a moment to stop and think before you jump into the Ouija board in search of your chills and thrills. There’s no reason why you can’t use the Ouija safely as long as you follow the rules. But breaking the rules, like LiveSciFi does, isn’t something anyone without the background that Tim has in paranormal investigation should attempt.

And even with all that experience, Tim is constantly dealing with repercussions from his work on the Ouija board. Since he was a kid, he’s been periodically stalked by a demonic entity and his struggles were chronicled publicly for the first time in Stalked by the Zozo Demon. Before you set out to break all the rules, maybe you want to take a look at what Tim’s been tormented by since he first encountered a Ouija board at the age of nine…and what happened to both of us as the result of the paranormal experiment we conducted with the board in the summer of 2017.

Trust us. You don’t want to experience what we have. Be safe. Be smart. Follow the ouija board rules, and be careful.

Dyatlov Death Mystery

What Happened To The Dyatlov Nine? Something happened in Russia in 1959 that has people mystified and intrigued to this day.  It was called the Dyatlov Pass Incident and it remains one of the most enduring mysteries in this world of skepticism and debunking, a mystery that has yet to be solved, a mystery that will probably never be solved. The facts of this case are surprisingly well documented and include photographs and numerous written accounts, both from those involved and those who investigated the incident.  This is what is known for sure.  Ten students from the Ural State Technical Institute, located in Sverdlovsk (currently known as Ekaterinburg) Russia embarked on a journey to climb Mount Otorten, located in Siberia.  This mountain’s name comes from the language of the indigenous people who live in this area known as the Mansi and literally means “Don’t Go There”.  The particular peek they were to climb was called Kholat Syakhl, or Mountain Of Death.  The Mansi legend of this mountain stated that nine Mansi warriors set off on a hunting trip there and never returned.  Their bodies were discovered days later by the rest of the tribe.  The mountain was considered cursed and haunted ever since.

The climb to be undertaken by the students was to span 350 km and was to take a little more than two weeks.  It was a category III climb, the most difficult. All of the participants were experienced skiers and they were lead by a 23-year-old engineering student named Igor Dyatlov.  Here is a list of the names of the skiers and their ages, seven men and two women.

Dyatlov Pass Deaths

1. Igor Alekseievich Dyatlov (Игорь Алексеевич Дятлов), the group’s leader, 23

2. Zinaida Alekseievna Kolmogorova (Зинаида Алексеевна Колмогорова), 22

3. Lyudmila Alexandrovna Dubinina (Людмила Александровна Дубинина), 21

4. Alexander Sergeievich Kolevatov (Александр Сергеевич Колеватов), 25

5. Rustem Vladimirovich Slobodin (Рустем Владимирович Слободин), 23

6. Yuri Alexeievich Krivonischenko (Юрий Алексеевич Кривонищенко), 24

7. Yuri Nikolaievich Doroshenko (Юрий Николаевич Дорошенко), 21

8. Nicolai Vladimirovich Thibeaux-Brignolles 23

9. Alexander Alexandrovich Zolotariov (Александр Александрович Золотарёв),37

10. Yuri Yefimovich Yudin (Юрий Ефимович Юдин), 21

The group reached the last inhabited settlement after a long journey via train and truck on January 26th and set out on skis the following day. On January 28, Yuri Yudin was forced to turn back due to illness.  He would be the only survivor of this ill fated exhibition.  Photographs of the two women in the group, Zinaida and Lyudmilla, embracing Yuri and saying goodbye, are a poignant and give no hint of the horror to come.

On January 31 the group arrived at the base of a series of foothills and stashed supplies for their return journey.  Lyudmila was the shutterbug of the gang and she took most of the surviving photographs of the groups trek.  A daily diary was also kept and added to by various members.  In the ensuing days, everything seemed normal, even light hearted.  Photographs show happy, smiling, casual people, well prepared for the harsh elements and seemingly enjoying themselves. The diary depicts tranquil scenes of days trekking along the wilderness, making steady progress, and nights sitting around a campfire, talkingabout love, singing Russian folk songs and playing the mandolin.

Occasionally there is a note or two about the native Mansi tribes that inhabit the region, but nothing menacing, just a respectful interest in their culture and the tribal markings that they occasionally comes across.  They appeared to be following an old Mansi trail the last two days of their journey. There is also a lot of talk about how cold and frigid the temperatures are, -17 during the day and -26 at night.  The last entry in the journal is written by Dyatlov and talks about harsh weather conditions that prevented the group from making much progress on January 31.  Dyatlov writes of exhaustion setting in and being unable to even dig a pit for their fire.  Could this be a clue?

On the last day of their journey, the group is only able to walk a couple of miles before being forced to set up camp.  Some investigators involved with the case expressed surprised at the location of the tent, high on an exposed planeand not sheltered at all from the elements.  It was thought that the group simply did not have the energy or desire to backtrack further down to a more suitable site and loose ground for the following days climb.  It seems, if the journal is accurate, that the group was possibly becoming over taxed due to a gradual worsening of the weather or simply loosing strength due to the constant, daily climbing.  Evidence shows that two members left the tent after dinner to urinate.

The two men who were found more decently dressed by investigators were probably the ones who had gotten up to go relieve themselves earlier, Alexander Zoltariov and Nicolai Thibeaux.  Something then occurred that caused all nine of these people to throw out all of their experienced training and everything they had ever learned about survival in the wilderness, slash a whole in the side of their tent and flee without the benefit of shoes, coats, hats or supplies, into the unsurvivable elements of the Siberian winter night, where they would eventually all parish. The official Russian explanation called that something “a compelling unknown force” and forever after, the Dyatlov Incident would become one of the most enduring mysteries of modern times.

When the Dyatlov skiers failed to send a telegraph to their sports club announcing their imminent return, the lack of communication was dismissed as a natural delay.  It was only after the families of the nine missing tourists demanded a search be organized that one was finally begun on February 20th.

What searchers found, six days later, has been the subject of much debate for fifty-four years.  After days of finding nothing, on February 26th, the searches finally came across the camp of the Dyatlov 9.  Their tent and most of their belongings were still there.  The tent was partially collapsed and inside was all the supplies necessary to survive, including most of their warm clothing, shoes, hats, food and tools. Also found were cameras and one journal.  Most disturbing, the tent had been slashed open on the side from the inside. Footprints of eight or nine people were found leading away from the tent in what appeared to be an organized manner.  Some veered off but eventually returned to the path.  Undera tall cedar tree the first two bodies were found.  It was Yuri Krivonishenko and Yuri Doroshenko, laying side by side and wearing almost no clothes.  It becameclear that some of their clothes had been removed, even cut off of them. There was also the remains of a fire near by and the branches of the cedar had been broken off up to a height of 15 feet.  Traces of human flesh and blood were found in the tree.  A few hundred meters from the cedar lay the body of Igor Dyatlov, the leader of the group.  He lay on his back, his hands thrown up in front of his face, his head pointed toward the abandoned camp.  Just 500 meters from Dyatlov was the body of Zinaida Kholmogorova, laying face down in the snow. Her head was also pointed toward the camp.  Months later, the body of RustemSlobodin would be discovered between these two bodies, also apparently dying while attempting to get back to the camp.  All of these bodies showed bruising consistent with being in a fight and one showed a minor skull fracture. Cause ofdeath in all five cases was listed as hypothermia.

It would not be until May that the other four bodies would be discovered.  After the spring thaw, the four were found lying in a shallow ravine about half a mile away from the cedar tree.  These bodies were far more seriously damaged, sustaining major skull fractures, gaping open wounds with exposed bone, multiple broken ribs, heart atrium ruptures and in the case of Lydudmila, a missing tongue.  These injuries were severe enough for the coroner to classify three of the deaths as likely caused by trauma and not hypothermia. One investigator said no living being could have caused these impact injuries and thatthey were more consistent with a car crash.  Despite the seriousness of the wounds, no external trauma was found on the skin of the victims.  Someone said it was as if they were hugged too tight, crushing their bones and internal organs as a result.

It was also reported, though these reports remain hearsay, that many of the victims bodies were of a strange orange or tan color and that some of them had white hair and showed signs of premature aging.  Theories abound as to what possibly could have caused nine experienced cross-country skiers to flee their only means of survival in the harsh winter elements of Siberia and make a run for it.  Some feel that they thought they heard an avalanche approaching and became panicked, slashing open their tent and ran blindly into the night.  The problem with this theory is that there were no outward signs of an avalanche.  Also, avalanches are not that uncommon in this region and surely this group was experienced enough to have a plan in place for such an emergency that did not include ditching everything and running into the night without even any shoes on.  Why cut the tent to leave, instead of going out the front? Also, why would they try to make camp under a cedar tree and wait there for an estimated two hours if they were simply fleeing from an avalanche?

Why climb the tree repeatedly to check on the abandoned camp, as the evidence suggests? Then there is the secret weapons testing theory that holds that the Russians were testing some kind of weapon out there and the skiers stumbled on the site by accident and were murdered.  Of coarse, this theory completely ignores the fact that most of the nine died of hypothermia, not trauma and absolutely no traces of anyone else in the region were discovered.  Strange orange lights were reported in the sky and some have suggested these were the lights of this mysterious weapon that the Soviets were testing.  Could the secret weapon itself have injured the skiers?  All of the bodies did show trace amounts of radiation, a fact that has no logical explanation. The Soviets only added fuel to the fire by being so secretive about this case and sealing the file on it for more than thirty years.  Why be so secretive?  Was it just in their nature?  There is also talk that a few key items that were found in the tent and booked into evidence have since gone missing, including a mysterious envelope, at least one camera and the personal journal of Kolevatov, whom Yuriy Yurdin, the only survivor, had testified was with him on the trip.

One theory the investigators considered early on was that Mansi natives attacked the skiers for being on what they considered sacred Mansi land.  This is a plausible theory, as the Mansi had been known to engage in this type of behavior before.  Eventually, however, investigators rejected it for the following reasons; nothing of value was scavenged from the tent.  Several Mansi participated in the search.  This mountain, as discussed before, was not considered sacred by these people but cursed or haunted.  It was called Do Not Go There. No Mansi tracks were found at the scene.  These were also the reasons given for rejecting the theory that criminals had attacked the group. Of coarse, there’s the UFO, Aliens theory.  Can’t really prove or disprove this, except to say that even E.T has feet and there were no other tracks found at the scene.  The tops of the trees were burned, and some of the bodies showed signs of burn injuries as well.  There were those orange lights sited in the night sky in the vicinity of the camp.  The accepted theory is that these lights were the entrails of the R-7 intercontinental missile launches being conducted at that time.

The problem with the UFO theory is that it’s highly unlike Aliens to have left such a mess. dyatlov death mystery They usually abduct people cleanly, then set them back down again, with their memories wiped, or so legend has it. Or they make pretty crop circles and go away.  Why would beings that were intelligent enough to maste intergalactic travel randomly terrorize and murder some cross-country skiers in Russia?  They wanted that tongue?  Really?  And speaking of the missing tongue, was it really ripped out, as many have said?  Or did it naturally degrade?

Lyudmila’s body was found with her head thrown back and her mouth wide open, as if in mid scream.  It’s perfectly reasonable to assume that her tongue simply degraded or was scavenged by predators after death.  Remember, her body wasn’t discovered for another three months after the initial bodies were found.  What is more intriguing is the fact that she seemed to be in mid scream when she died.  She died from a combination of severe injuries, including a massive rupture to her hearts right atrium and many broken ribs.

Then there’s the paranormal theory, which is not really taken seriously by anyone but paranormal enthusiasts.  This theory holds that the Mansi were indeed right, that this mountain and this peek were haunted by unknown paranormal forces, which is why the dyatlov pass mysteryMansi gave it the name Mountain Of Death. In this theory, it is believed that something of an extreme paranormal nature occurred just after the group had had their dinner and were preparing to settle in for the night.  This unknown event happened right outside their tent and so frightened these nine experienced outdoorsmen that they temporarily lost their minds, cut a hole in the side of their tent and ran for their lives.  Whatever occurred had to be shocking and unusual enough to cause such an extreme reaction in these people, who, by all accounts, were not prone to delusions or flights of fancy.  Speculation as to what that event could have been ranges from vengeful apparitions of evil Mansi spirits to a demonic entity emerging from the blackness of the Siberian wilderness to snow monsters or a Yeti.  Some even believe it was an unknown event, unique, possibly never experienced before or since.

This is a mystery that despite a thorough investigation and a plethora of clues, remains just that, a mystery.  All that is known for sure is that nine people walked into the wilderness and advanced on a peek known as The Mountain Of Death, and all nine never walked out again.  Something terrified these people so badly that it caused them to abandon all training and reason and flee to a near by incline and tree, where they tried to save themselves, but were unsuccessful. They stayed there for two hours, rather than attempt to go back to the relative safety of their camp.  Only when death had already claimed two of their members, did three even attempt to return to the camp.  Most died ofexposure but four showed significant bodily trauma and three died from those injuries.  Therefor, the nagging question is still asked today… What Happened to the Dyatlov Nine?

Haunted house for sale…. Beware?

Ever heard of curiosity killing the cat? With the Sallie House recently being put up for sale for a whopping $750,000, haunted real estate is big right now!sallie house for saleThree years ago I purchased one of the most haunted houses in Pennsylvania, the Welles House, Wilkes Barre.  Initially I thought it would be great to have my own haunted house due to my interest in the paranormal, however I did not imagine that the number of nightmares it would cause for me in the future.

Are you prepared for paranormal activity?

As interesting as it may seem to own a haunted house, you should ask yourself are you really prepared to deal with paranormal activity potentially on a daily basis. From my own experience I was not equipped psychologically to deal with the paranormal activity from Wilkes Barre house. The Welles House was unbearable to be in at times due to the overwhelming heavy, dark, and depressing atmosphere that hovered over the house like dark clouds in a sky that would never move. Besides the paranormal activity house for salefeelings of uneasiness in the home one of the most disturbing aspects of the paranormal activity would be having the dark presence (demon) show up at my house in California, 2000 miles away. Having my family experience paranormal events at my home in California, because of my selfish motives of wanting to buy a haunted house is something that I am still trying to self-reconcile to this day.  I found out very quickly that it is one thing to visit, and another to conduct a paranormal investigation at a place that you do not own, than a place you own.

Unwanted Media.

Due to the haunted reputation of my home, and all of the recent press, break-ins started occurring at an alarming rate.  To combat the break-in I installed a security system but that did not seem to be the slightest deterrent for people seeking their own paranormal experience. Within the first couple of months the house in Wilkes-Barre had been broken into a dozen of times, welles house for salewhich had cost me thousands of dollars; in repairs on doors, windows, and irreparable damage to the parts of the historic home.  This seems not only to be problem for my haunted house but others such as the Sallie House in Atchison KS which has been the site for multiple break-ins.

Haunted Tours, hold up.

Thinking of running haunted tours at your haunted home, well not so fast.  Cities, and states have zoning, codes, and ordinances which could prevent you from running haunted tours and paid paranormal investigations in your house.  In my case I didn’t even want to run tours in my home due to the fact the paranormal activity was so dark that I didn’t even want to expose anyone to it.

Are you okay with strangers being alone in your home performing investigations?  What happens when someone you let in your haunted house attraction hurts them self, or another, such as the case with Villisca man who stabbed himself during a paranormal investigation.

Was it worth it?

These are just some of the things that affected me when I purchased my haunted house three years ago.  Not one day goes by were I am asked, “was it worth it?” “Would you buy another haunted house?” I often reflect on the life changing paranormal experiences that others and myself had in the home and weigh those with negative things that came with purchasing the house. It’s a tough decision that only a few should make.

Is the movie the Conjuring 2 based on a True Story?

The Conjuring was one of the biggest horror blockbusters in recent memory and it only makes sense that the producers would make sequel. As with most horror movies the producers often try to blend fiction with facts, in order to make the movie bit scarier.  The first Conjuring movie according to Andrea Perron who lived in the house contained very little of the true story that actually occurred at the house.  So how much of the Conjuring 2, is based on a true story?

What was the Warren’s Involvement in the Real Conjuring 2 case?

is the conjuring 2 based on real story
Guy Playfair – The “Real” Enfield Haunting Paranormal Investigator

Although we haven’t seen the Conjuring 2 movie yet, we can already tell by the movie cast that the main characters are Ed and Lorraine Warren. According to many sources including the main investigators Mr. Playfair Ed and Lorraine Warren had no involvement in the Enfield Poltergeist case, and never performed a paranormal investigation on the case. During an interview on Darkness Radio, head paranormal investigator for the Enfield Poltergeist Case Guy Lyon Playfair stated:

Dave Schrader: Mr. Playfair, I’m sure you’re familiar with Ed and Lorraine Warren and their research and work. Have they ever worked along with the Society for Psychical Research?

Guy Lyon Playfair: No. I bumped into Ed Warren once or twice, and Lorraine… and I got the impression that Ed Warren was, well.. (laughs) fill in your own expletive. I wasn’t impressed at all. Lorraine is still living, so I’ll refrain from commenting on her, but she was very… quite pleasant when I met her.

They did turn up once, I think, at Enfield, and all I can remember is Ed Warren telling me that he could make a lot of money for me out of it. So I thought, “well thats all I need to know from you” and I got myself out of his way as soon as I could. I said was not impressed. He didn’t spend… I don’t think he went there more than once. And I did read

The Warrens Conjuring 2
“The Warren’s” – Lorraine and Ed Warren

somewhere a transcript of a lengthy interview which he’s alleged to have with one of the girls – which they couldn’t remember giving him – and it was describing all sorts of marvelous wonders which I don’t think ever happened. I think he was a complete…um… well… (laughs)… fill in whatever word…

Dave: (laughs) I understand. So you don’t feel that – and especially in the interactions you had with him – you don’t feel that maybe they had the best intentions when it came to the investigations of these cases?

Guy: No, they just wanted to make money out of it.

Dave: Okay. Did – have you heard, or in your research, have you come across any proof that Ed or Lorraine Warren had anything to do with consulting or being a part of this investigation?

Guy: Certainly not. Nobody ever mentioned them. I mean, I don’t think anybody in the family had ever heard of him until he turned up. Uninvited. And uh..

Dave: Oh, so just came out…

Guy: …he said who he was and he didn’t come again and we just sort of forgot about him.

Dave: So he came out to the site uninvited, and just showed up to try and insert himself into the story, is what you maintain?

Guy: Thats what I remember, yes.

Dave: Okay, fascinating.

Guy: It was quite brief. He was just one.. we had so many people coming and going. I mean I remember one day he did turn up. I think Lorraine was there as well – I’d also met them in Brazil. They sort of pop up all over the place. And it was just no big deal at all. I mean, I had a brief conversation with Ed at Enfield, and as I say, he was telling me how much money he’d help me make, and I politely declined his help, and I strained that that’s not what we exist for in the SPR, and that was the last time I saw him.

How did the Conjuring 2 “true” story begin?

conjuring 2 real haunted house
A view outside of the real Enfield haunted house

The real story that the Conjuring 2 is based on is the Enfield Poltergeist Case whose paranormal events took place in the late 1970’s. According to Peggy Hodgson (the mother), the haunting of her Enfield home began on the evening of August 30, 1977. It was on that night that her daughter Janet told her that her brothers’ beds were wobbling. The next evening, Mrs. Hodgson heard a loud noise from upstairs. She entered her children’s bedroom and saw a chest of drawers moving. She tried to stop the heavy oak chest as it moved toward the door, concluding that an invisible force was trying to trap them in the room.

“It started in a back bedroom, the chest of drawers moved, and you could hear shuffling,” recalled the real Janet Hodgson many years later in a Channel 4 Enfield Poltergeist documentary. Thinking that it was Janet and her siblings making the noise, she said that her mother told them to go to sleep. “We told her what was going on, and she came to see it for herself. She saw the chest of drawers moving. When she tried to push it back, she couldn’t.”-Daily Mail Online

Did crosses actually turn upside down during the Enfield Poltergeist Case?

No there were never any claims of crosses being turned upside down.  Why the Conjuring 2 which supposedly is based on a true story put this in the trailer and in the movie is beyond us.is conjuring 2 based a true story

Did Janet Hodgson really get thrown in the air by poltergeist?

In The Conjuring 2 movie based on a true story, Janet daughter of Peggy (Madison Wolfe) finds herself pinned against the ceiling by the demonic poltergeist. According to Janet and Peggy this is a complete exaggeration of what allegedly happened in real life during the Enfield haunting. There are suspect photographs of the real Janet Hodgson “levitating” only show her a short distance above her bed (see below). This, coupled with the way her body is positioned in the air, has led many paranormal researchers to believe that she simply jumped from her bed. The questionable photos were taken by Daily Mirror photographer Graham Morris after the family contacted the press (it should be noted that the Daily Mirror is a UK tabloid newspaper whose stories have often proven less than credible). “The levitation was scary,” recalled Janet, “because you didn’t know where you were going to land.”

conjuring 2 real paranormal evidence
A series of 3 photographs which supposedly shows Janet being hurled up in the air by the poltergeist.

Supporting the family’s claims were two witnesses, a baker and a lollipop lady, who were passing by outside and claimed to have seen Janet hovering above her bed as they looked through an upstairs window. “The lady saw me spinning around and banging against the window,” recalls Janet. “I thought I might actually break the window and go through it.” -Daily Mail Online

So is the Conjuring 2 movie based on a true story?

Well it looks like the only part of the Conjuring 2 movie that might be true, might be the fact that the producers have the haunting occurring in Enfield, UK.  Being in the paranormal field for over 10 years and putting numerous hours investigating, reviewing, and trying to document anomalous phenomena for clients, I find it absolutely disgusting that the Warren’s will forever be attached to this case even though they absolutely had nothing to do with.  Even more disgusting is the fact that this movie claims to be based on true story, when it it clearly isn’t.

Being an Empath and Artist

demonic shadow figure sketch
St. Ignatius Demonic Shadow Figure Drawing, by Kmanning
I have been an Artist and an Sensitive Empath my entire life. I call myself a Sensitive instead of a psychic or medium because I find those names to be used to liberally and most times untrue. I believe I am sensitive to the other realm. It’s as simple as that.  Over the past 5 years I have been drawing ghosts, demons, and other paranormal anomalies that I can see psychically while I am on the investigation or watching remote via the livestream. Some of the real demon drawings are disturbing in nature, reader discretion is advised.
I’ve always drawn what I’ve seen real and spiritually real. I’ve never shown the spiritual works with explanation to anyone but my husband. In college I’d make up a story or say nothing and let the professors make their conclusions on the subject matter because I live in Kansas and my gifts are quite frankly not welcome here.
Always interested in testing my abilities, but being suspicious of any para teams in Kansas (sorry I didn’t know any then) I would search the Internet and YouTube for people doing paranormal investigations. I’d also search for haunted places in my state that I could drive to. This lead me to the Sallie House website and then to discovering Livescifi.tv on YouTube doing investigations at the house. I’d never seen a group do live shows, and watching them I’d be drawing madly at what I was seeing around them. This was back in the days of Scotty, Tim, and Patrick in the house. I was transfixed  and what I saw had nothing to do with the Pickmans experience in the house, which was several years earlier.

Real Demon Drawings

When drawing what I was seeing, and still to this day, I keep it to EXACTLY what I see no matter how strange or unusual. One particular scene Tim was upstairs in the operating room of the Sallie House, and you could hear the sliding and footsteps of something in the hallway approaching the room as he was challenging whatever was there.  I saw a dog like animal come in and circle him. He said he could feel something in there and as I was yelling at my computer screen “look out!!” It’s tail hit him and he immediately reacted to the hit.

Most of the time in the house I also saw a woman spirit with crazy black

hair and dressed in all white. She seemed to focus on Tim and she responded to the franks box in the basement several times. I wondered if she was a Beelzebub demon minion or separate entity.

I kept my drawings to myself until I saw on Tim’s website Livescifi.tv and that he was going back to the house.  I thought about it for days, reaching out to show him my demon drawings.  In my previous experiences people just don’t believe you. I finally thought, screw it and emailed Livescifi. Now I didn’t know this until later that Tim NEVER just up and invites or meets a viewer due to the overwhelming amount of people who would show up and ultimately disturb the real reason he was there which is to investigate and get evidence. So basically I never share and he never invites. It was a moment meant to happen.

I emailed Livescifi and Tim invited me to drive up during the day to show him the demon drawings and then leave. I arrived as the guys were having lunch and after an awkward hello Tim said “we are having lunch, you’re welcome to tour the house by yourself if you want to”.  Now something they didn’t know about me was I would take that as a challenge.  I replied “ok no problem”. I first went upstairs and took time to feel the rooms. I then went back to the first floor where they were eating and walked past them to the basement. I wasn’t going to back down or look like a scared woman damn it. As I descended the stairs I could feel the air become thicker and heavy.

Dr. Finney, Psychic Drawing by Kmanning

I walked slowly to the other side of the basement room from the stairs and stood just soaking it all in. I cleared my mind and said to myself “don’t think about where you are…open up to what is here”. As I stood the limestone wall started to rock and sway like the carnival effect. I then turned my attention to the hole and was met in gaze with two red eyes. I’ve said before on camera when in moments like these I feel more like an observer, which I think prevents me from running away scared. We stared at each other, this thing and I for several moments. I really don’t know how long it was or even realized that there were static cameras on me. I eventually went back upstairs to show them the reason I had come, which was to show the demon drawing.

Finished with lunch, they invited me to sit down and first I showed them a separate sketchbook of my regular art and portraits because I wanted them to understand my level of talent. I then described the moment I’d seen the dog like creature hit Tim’s leg and showed the drawing.

They all were polite and seemed interested. Tim was sitting next to me on the couch and I turned the page while saying “I see her around you a lot” and as my drawing came in to his view he suddenly got up and left the room. I didn’t know what to make of that, did I do something wrong? Patrick came over and looked and said “oh my god” and then I realized I must’ve hit some kind of nerve. Tim gathered himself and came back at me with a plethora of questions “where have you seen her….how many times….does she say anything…..” And so on. What he then told me is that he had been told by other psychics that he has a spirit, described like my drawing, attached to him. I was dumbfounded and happy. Validation!! I’d never had that! I knew he wasn’t going to talk much more due to the shock of it all and I also knew I didn’t want to overstay my welcome. Come, show sketches, leave. They invited me to stay longer and I politely refused because I wanted to let them know I’m here for the same thing they are. Discovery and validation, not a fan girl who wants to hang out. As I left and was opening my car door I saw over me a huge black Raven like wing, but huge like it would fit on a human and immediately ducked out of the way. When I looked back up…..nothing. I got in my car and drove home.

So that is how we met. I began drawing while Livescifi was live and tweeting them out to Tim and a mutual friendship of respect and the passion for discovery of the paranormal, particularly demons has built over the years. I will always be grateful to Livescifi for allowing me to step out of my comfort zone and show my drawings to strangers. And I will continue to do so until the day I die.

Are the Warrens Paranormal Cases Real?

the real ed and lorraine warren
The Warrens – Ed and Lorraine Warren

Due to the Conjuring and the Conjuring 2 movie the Warrens have received significant notoriety. However are their cases such as the ones depicted in the Conjuring, the Conjuring 2, Amityville Horror, A Haunting in Connecticut, real? Yes of course they are. So first before we go into the top Warren paranormal cases lets go into who they are.

Ed and Lorraine Warren  History

The Warrens also known as Ed and Lorraine Warren are American paranormal investigators and authors. Edward Warren or Ed was a World War II United States Navy veteran and former police officer. He would later become a self-taught demonologist, author and lecturer. His wife Lorraine Warren is a psychic / clairvoyant and a light trance medium who worked closely with her husband.

A Haunting Worse than Amityville
A Haunting Worse than Amityville

In 1952, the Warrens founded the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), the oldest ghost hunting group in New England. They authored numerous books about the paranormal and about their private investigations which documented their various encounters with paranormal activity. They claimed to have investigated over 10,000 cases during their career. However it should be noted that multiple sources estimate the real number of Warren paranormal cases to be in the hundreds. According to the Warrens, the N.E.S.P.R. utilizes a variety of individuals, including medical doctors, researchers, police officers, nurses, college students and members of the clergy in its investigations. In the mid 1970’s the Warrens also performed paranormal investigations at the Welles House in PA, which is still believed to be haunted by a demonic entity.

The Warrens were responsible for training several demonologists including Dave Considine, Lou Gentile, and their nephew John Zaffis. In addition to investigations, Lorraine runs The Warrens’ Occult Museum in the back of her house in Monroe, Connecticut with the help of her son-in-law, Tony Spera.

Annabelle the Doll

annabelle the doll
Annabelle the Doll, at the Warren’s Occult Museum

According to claims originating from Ed and Lorraine Warren, a student nurse was given the Raggedy Ann doll in 1970, but after the doll behaved strangely, a psychic medium told the student the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a dead girl named “Annabelle Higgins”. Supposedly, the student nurse and her roommate first tried to accept and nurture the spirit-possessed doll, but eventually became frightened by the doll’s malicious behavior and contacted the Warrens, who removed the doll to their museum after pronouncing it “demonically possessed”.

Texas State University assistant professor of religious studies Joseph Laycock says most skeptics have dismissed the Warrens’ museum as “full of off-the-shelf Halloween junk, dolls and toys, books you could buy at any bookstore”. Laycock calls the Annabelle legend an “interesting case study in the relationship between pop culture and paranormal folklore” and speculates that the demonic doll trope popularized by films such as Child’s Play and The Conjuring likely emerged from early legends surrounding Robert the Doll as well as a Twilight Zone episode entitled Living Doll. Laycock suggests that “the idea of demonically-possessed dolls allows modern demonologists to find supernatural evil in the most banal and domestic of places”.

Commenting on publicity for the Warrens’ Occult museum coinciding with the film release of The Conjuring, science writer Sharon A. Hill said that much of the myths and legends surrounding the Warrens have “seemingly been of their own doing” and that many people may have difficulty “separating the Warrens from their Hollywood portrayal.” Hill criticized sensational press coverage of the Warrens’ Occult museum and its Annabelle doll, commenting that “like real-life Ed Warren, real-life Annabelle is actually far less impressive.” Of the supernatural claims made about Annabelle by Ed Warren, Hill observed, “we have nothing but Ed’s word for this, and also for the history and origins of the objects in the museum”

Perron Family – The Conjuring

In 1971, the Warrens claimed that the Harrisville, Rhode Island, home of the Perron family was haunted by a witch who lived there in the early 19th century. According to the Warrens, Bathsheba Sherman cursed the land so that whoever lived there somehow died. The story is the subject of the 2013 film, The Conjuring. Lorraine Warren was a consultant to the production and appeared in a cameo role in the film.

Devil in Connecticut

The Trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, also known as the Devil Made Me Do It Case, is the first known court case in the United States in which the defense sought to prove innocence based upon the defendant’s claim of demonic possession and denial of personal responsibility for the crime. On November 24, 1981, in Brookfield,Connecticut, Arne Cheyenne Johnson was convicted of first-degree manslaughter for the killing of his landlord, Alan Bono.[3] According to testimony by the Glatzel family, 11-year-old David Glatzel had allegedly played host to the demon that forced Johnson to kill Bono. After witnessing a number of increasingly ominous occurrences involving David, the family, exhausted and terrified, decided to enlist the aid of self-described demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (noted for their investigation into the famed Amityville Haunting) in a last-ditch effort to “cure” David. The Glatzel family, along with the Warrens, then proceeded to have David exorcised by a number of Catholic priests. The process continued for several days, concluding when, according to those present, a demon fled the child’s body and took up residence within Johnson. Several months later, Johnson killed his landlord during a heated conversation. His defense lawyer argued in court that he was possessed, but the judge ruled that such a defense could never be proven and was therefore infeasible in a court of law. Johnson was subsequently convicted, though he only served five years of a 10- to 20-year sentence. The trial attracted media attention from around the world and has obtained a level of notoriety due to numerous depictions of the events in literature and television.

Smurl Haunting

the smurl haunting
The Smurl Family

The Smurls claimed that beginning in 1974, their double-block
home located at 328 Chase Street in the city of West Pittson, Pennsylvania was disturbed by a demon that caused loud noises and bad odors, threw their dog into a wall, shook their mattress, pushed one of their daughters down a flight of stairs, and physically and sexually assaulted Jack on several occasions.

In 1986, the family brought in a pair of demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren. According to Ed Warren, the demon that inhabited the Smurls home was “very powerful” and that it shook mirrors and furniture after they tried to persuade it to leave by playing religious music and praying. Warren claimed he felt a drop in temperature and saw a “dark mass” form in the home, and the demon once left a message on a mirror telling him to “get out”. After months of investigation, Warren alleged that he had a number of audiotapes containing knocking and rapping caused by the demon.

Paul Kurtz, State University of New York at Buffalo philosophy

smurl family haunting
Jack Smurl

professor and then chairman of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal said the Warrens weren’t objective, independent, or impartial investigators and characterized the Smurls’ claims as “a hoax, a charade, a ghost story.” Kurtz said that the Smurls’ claims were possibly due to delusions, hallucinations or brain impairment, and advised that they submit themselves to psychiatric and psychological examinations. According to The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, Smurl told a reporter he had “surgery to remove water from his brain in 1983 because he had been experiencing short-term memory loss due to a case of meningitis in his youth.” Allentown psychologist Robert Gordon commented that “people often look at demonology to explain many tensions that they experience as individuals and within their families”.

Spokespeople for the Roman Catholic Church, Diocese of Scranton said they were unsure what might be causing the disturbances.St. Bonaventure University theology professor Alphonsus Trabold, OFM, said there might be other “less demonic” explanations. The home was blessed by several priests who said they saw “no harmful activity while on the property.” Janet Smurl claimed an unidentified priest performed three “unsuccessful” exorcisms, and that the demon avoided the rites by “moving between the double-block home” and following the family to other locations. In 1986, a priest from the local diocese spent two nights at the Smurl home and said “nothing unusual happened” during his stay there.

In 1986, the Smurls told the press they were tired of the constant bombardment of reporters and TV cameras; however within a few months, The Haunted, a paperback version of their story authored by Scranton newspaper writer Robert Curran was released by St. Martin’s Press. The book was criticized by reviewers such as Times Leader staff writer Joseph Marusak who wrote, “Robert Curran forsakes the principles of his trade to give readers a one-sided account of what did or didn’t occur over several years in Jack and Janet Smurl’s former home”. Reviewer Mary Beth Gehrman wrote that the book was poorly written, adding that “it is hard to conceive of a supposedly sophisticated objective and (as far as I know, at least until now) credible reporter like Curran taking their story seriously given the complete lack of any empirical or physical evidence to support it.”

Also in 1986, pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in West Pittston, Rev. Joseph Adonizio, said the Smurls felt that after intense prayers, “things are back to normal.” In 1987, Janet Smurl told reporters that they still heard knocking and saw shadows. After the Smurl family moved to Wilkes-Barre, Debra Owens moved into the former Smurl home in 1988 and told reporters she “never encountered anything supernatural while living there.”

Amityville Horror

On the night of March 6, 1976, the house was investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren, a husband and wife team self-described as demonologists, together with a crew from the television station ed and lorraine real amityville pictureChannel 5 New York and reporter Michael Linder of WNEW-FM. During the course of the investigation Gene Campbell took a series of infrared time-lapse photographs. One of the images allegedly showed a “demonic boy” with glowing eyes who was standing at the foot of a staircase. The photograph did not emerge into the public domain until 1979, when George and Kathy Lutz and Rod Steiger appeared on The Merv Griffin Show to promote the release of the first film. 112 Ocean Avenue was also investigated by the parapsychologist Hans Holzer. The Warrens and Holzer have suggested that the house is occupied by malevolent spirits due to its history.

Is the Valak Demon Real?

Last week the movie the Conjuring 2 debuted, in the valak demonmovie it featured the demon Valak. But is the Valak demon real in the Conjuring 2? The demon Valak is real, however it has never been depicted as scary nun as seen in the movie the the Conjuring 2.  This aspect of the Demon Valak is completely fake, thanks Hollywood!

Who is the Real Valak Demon?

Historically the demon Valak takes the form of child and has wings. According to the book of Goetia the demon Valak also goes by the names Valax, Valu, Valic, Volac, ais the Great President of Hell and possesses 38 legions of demons.  In the book of Goetia Valak. Valak appears as a hild with Angel’s Wings, riding on a Two-headed Dragon. His Office is to give True Answers of Hidden Treasures, and to tell where Serpents may be seen. The which he will bring unto the Exorciser without any Force or Strength being by him employed. In the movie the Conjuring 2, there were a few scenes were a possessed child is seen running through the house in Amityville down to the basement, is this a manifestation of Valak?  In any case, I found it interesting that the producers of the Conjuring 2 decided to use this demon in their plot and tie it back to the Amityville case.

Other Historical Texts were the demon Valak is mentioned

Exorcism in Daly City

Outside the “Exorcist” house

One of the most publicized exorcisms in modern day history occurred in the fog-drenched town of Daly City, a suburb south of San Francisco. The exorcism case received nationwide attention in 1972 due to reported claims of possession, and strange poltergeist events that multiple people had witnessed.

“On July 10, 1972, Jan and Brian Neven called a psychic study group frantically requesting help and saying that fires were spontaneously occurring in their home. That same evening several psychics went to see the family. The following day, I visited their home. Within the month I spent the night there on eight occasions, and also made three shorter visits. Some of these were made because some member of the family called in a panic. The first activity occurred in May, 1972…” That’s how UCLA psychologist Dr. Freda Morris began her July and August, 1974 article in Fate Magazine documenting what is now known as the Devil in Daly City case.

A Haunting in Daly City, or something more Evil?

Paranormal activity began with spontaneous fires breaking out in the home of a young couple, Jan and Brian Neven, and their newborn son, Stephen. As Brian Innes stated in his 1996 book, Ghost Sightings , “…Doors unlocked and opened by themselves, furniture and other household pieces were overthrown, small objects disappeared and then, some time later, returned.”

The poltergeist paranormal activity later increased to physical and psychological attacks.  The paranormal activity seemed follow the Nevens.  No matter where they went, even other homes or motels, the family was constantly under demonic attack. Brian, an Orthodox Jew, was in the process of converting to Catholicism, the religion practiced by his wife. The psychics believed that hauntings were also tied to their baby Stephen, who was born around the time the conversion began.

As time went on, their baby became the focus of the poltergeist, which evoked a deep sense of terror in the young family. D. Scott Roco notes in his 1979 book The Poltergeist Experience that: “…the poltergeist ignited one crib several times and incinerated a new crib the same day it was installed in the nursery.”

This experience was verified by Dr. Morris, who related another terrifying attack on the child: “I had been carrying the baby around the house for about 20 minutes, when suddenly he began to cry so loud that I returned him to Brian. He and Jan took the baby into the bedroom to change his diaper. Almost as soon as they entered the bedroom Jan screamed and we all rushed after them. Jan said the baby had started to shake and his eyes had rolled back into his head. When I touched him he was damp and cold but his eyes were focused and he was quiet. Jan went ahead with changing his diaper and when she took it off we all saw twined around his genitals a necklace with a cross which had disappeared from Jan’s neck two hours earlier. The young mother fainted and the baby began to cry again.”

After this incident, the attacks picked up in intensity. As Rogo noted, “…the poltergeist was no longer interested in anything but physically attacking the Nevens. They were hit by innumerable objects and the blows often caused pain and injuries.” The crucifix returned, found wrapped around the baby’s leg moments before a nearby Bible caught on fire. The infant was pelted with eggs and had his blankets wrapped around his face in an attempt to suffocate him.

But the rest of the family was terrified by the entity’s attacks on the baby. Dr. Morris wrote: “I asked Ben, Brian’s father, what had frightened him most throughout the experience. He said that one evening when he and Ebon (Brian’s brother) were visiting Brian and Jan they decided to try to communicate with the spirit. They put pencil and paper on the kitchen table and went to sit in the living room. Returning to check every few minutes, they found the following words on various pieces of paper: he, child, die, baby, back, baby, stay. Eventually, all except one of the pieces of paper were destroyed by spontaneous fires.”

Demonic Attacks

exorcist karl patzelt
Exorcist Karl Patzelt

On the 17 th of July, Greek Orthodox priest Father Karl Pazelt came into the Nevens’ home for the first time. The now deceased Karl Patzelt (1916 – 1988) was well known for performing exorcisms, and performed them during his career. Father Patzelt was born and raised in Czechoslovakia, and was studying at a Jesuit seminary when he was conscripted into the Nazi army during World War II.  He was later captured by the Russians where he remained in a prison camp for several years. In 1957 he was ordained into Russian Rite of the Catholic Church.

A New York Times article from January 24, 1974 stated: “…Father Pazelt said the family members were reportedly the victims of peculiar forces that he labeled as “exterior signs of the devil.” At times, he said, the devil choked them by the throat, knocked them unconscious, threw knives and glasses through the air and caused objects to break, burn, move, and fly.” Father Pazelt concluded that After receiving permission from San Francisco Archbishop Joseph T. McGucken, Father Pazelt performed 14 exorcisms of the Nevens family and Dr. Freda Morris in 1972-73. Church officials, prayer groups, and parishioners accompanied the priest to these sessions, as reported by the LA Times in May of 1988 : “I went with kind of a jaundiced eye to begin with,” said the parishioner who accompanied Patzelt. “But the lady’s head was being banged against the wall. It was so rapid. I went home and tried it myself . . . and you can’t do it to yourself. The husband cut his arm being thrown through a window.”

Father Patzelt gained a lot of notoriety for the case, and related details to numerous press outlets.

As he said in a February 25, 1974 issue of New York Magazine, “What scientific explanation could there be,” he asked, “for a kitchen knife of steel going through a wall?” He also confirmed (Ellensburg Daily Record report on January 20, 1974) that as many as thirty people witnessed the paranormal activity and added (January 19, 1974 interview with Watertown Daily) that twenty lay persons assisted him in the exorcisms in the Nevens home. “It was a test of their faith in God, how much that faith would tolerate or break under the attacks of the devil,” the priest said. “He was trying to bring them on his side by bringing all kinds of trouble and attacks. If they had yielded, the incidents would have stopped.”

Exorcism from the Evil One

Patzelt defined the activity at the home as a ‘disturbance cause by the Evil One’. Between the 19th of August and the 8th of September in 1972 Father Patzelt performed the right of exorcism 12 times so that the family could be freed from the diabolical forces that were haunting their home.

The final exorcism took place on September 8, 1973 and lasted two hours. Afterward, Archbishop McGucken told the NY Times, the family found relief and peace.

“They visited once in a while and they’re doing fine,” said the parishioner (LA Times), who asked not to be identified. The family never gave Patzelt a gift for his efforts “because they’re of modest means and they spent all their money repairing their house.”

Ouija in a Haunted Cemetery Psychic Sketch

Due to the fact that I could not travel out to this paranormal investigation that Tim was going to be doing with Patrick we came up with an alternate plan. I would be FaceTiming  in during some point of the night so that I could feel the space around them and possibly see anything paranormal.
About an hour before I got the call I had a blast of visions going through my head which led me to start drawing immediately. This is sometimes how images come to me quickly, furiously,  and I have to sketch quickly and furiously. Any of you who have watched me during live shows know how that process can be very frenetic. Unbeknownst to me at the same time, Tim and Patrick were experiencing a lot of paranormal activity. I could see where they were.  I could see what was around them and I hadn’t seen where they were through FaceTime yet.  I could see the black haired woman that wears white that I see a lot around Tim.  She felt very rooted in this place even though she is obviously mobile.  She had outstretched arms and was reaching out towards Tim.  There was also a smaller creature much like what I would call a minion, that looked somewhat like an insect at first but as I started to see it more clearly, I could see it had horns on its head and horns coming out of it shoulders and very long legs. It was hunched over and staring directly at me. I believe that this entity is a soul holder. We’ve all talked or read or heard about soul keepers, soul takers, soul collectors, this entity is not that. This particular entity holds the souls for its keeper.  It’s only purpose is that to hold onto the souls that it’s master has collected.  I assume it’s master is this black haired being.  I also feel that the reason it follows Tim is because he is one soul it has yet to collect and has become obsessed with collecting him.
The trees and shrubbery around them were unkempt and wiry and the gravestones were also unkempt. It was an unusual scene because cemeteries are usually kept well somewhat and this being memorial weekend I would expect that. But that’s not what I saw. As I finished the sketch and texted it to Tim just as he called me. He started asking me questions and I asked if he’d received the text yet and he had not. It came in while we were talking and he said in a hushed tone, “Kristin, this is exactly where we are.”  I have to admit I’m always a bit surprised when what I see is what’s happening but to have him say he was right where I’d sketched and I hadn’t even seen the place before was amazing.

ZOZO Ouija Board Demon Possession Video

It was suggested to me a while back that the best way to communicate with ZoZo was to try repeatedly, so I am dedicating a series of live shows so that we can better document the paranormal activity that encompasses the ouija board phenomena. During this broadcast I, at one point completely blacked out,due to the negative energy that came through on the board. When I ended the ouija board session, I stated – “Goodbye my 13”. Does anyone know what this might mean? If you listen carefully numerous demonic evps were captured as the Ouija session progressed by a panasonic rrdr60. Could this be the entity ZoZo communicating through the voice recorder? As I seem to do these sessions the responses are seemingly growing stronger and creepier.

Watch and listen and tell me what you think..

Real Exorcism Tapes – An Exorcism in SF Bay Area

In January 2018 we received an email from a family who believed that they were being tormented by a demon.  The family first experienced minor paranormal activity, that led to poltergeist activity, to partial demonic possession.  Oddly enough the husband and wife used a Ouija Board in the home, and stated that they came in contact with an entity which named itself MAMA on the Ouija Board.  After numerous paranormal investigations we were able to document severe paranormal activity which culminated on early in February with a sewing board being thrown across the room due to poltergeist activity at them home.

With the family in dire need of help we contacted numerous priests, however we felt that exorcist, Bishop James Cloud was the best fit to assist with cleansing the home and family of the demonic activity that had infested their home.

The video was originally broadcasted live on YouTube and shows the exorcism in an unedited, raw format.  There was one point during the exorcism were I became under attack by the entity had to leave the home.  While I was being attacked I became ill, yet extremely angry at everyone around me.

The Haunted History of Waterdog Lake

Located in Belmont California, Waterdog lake is said to be one of the most haunted lakes in California. However I decided to see if there was anything behind the legends of it being haunted and surprisingly there was.  First of all the lake is not easily accessible and the trail can be hard to find if you are not familiar with the area.  Having growing up in the area, I had always heard of stories regarding haunting’s that have occurred at the lake, and possible murder, however today was the first time that I had a chance to visit it.

Why the Reservoir was Made

The 100-million-gallon reservoir was built with its main purpose to facilitate water flow to the Ralston Mansion, which was built a few miles below it.  Simultaneously, the European and and Chinese workers assembled an elaborate piping system as the conduit to deliver fresh water down the hill to the estate house for irrigation and human consumption. Ultimately, Water Dog Lake became the primary source of water not only for Ralston mansion, but for the growing town of Belmont. The intricate network of pipes was not completed until 1874.

A Murder at Waterdog Lake – “A Delight in Doing Evil”

On October 2, 1984 Lance Turner’s body was found on the trail at Waterdog Lake, murdered by Jon Dukel, a serial killer. After confessing to the murder Jon Dunkel described his crime at Waterdog lake as a “Delight in Doing Evil.”

On October 2, 1984, about 7:00 p.m., Belmont resident Margaret Turner called the police to report her 12-year-old son, Lance, missing from soccer practice. That day, jon dunkelTimothy O’Brien had driven his two sons and Lance to soccer practice at the fields behind Ralston Intermediate School.

O’Brien began coaching his team and did not see Lance again. Later, when the practice ended, O’Brien asked Lance’s coach, Ray Williamson, where Lance was. Williamson told him Lance was not at practice that day. Several boys reported seeing Lance head toward Waterdog Lake, three-eighths of a mile from the soccer field. A search followed.

William Russell arrived at 6:00 p.m. to pick up his son from soccer practice and, after taking his son home, joined the search for Lance. About 8:20 p.m., Russell shined a flashlight onto some bushes in a gully off the path to Waterdog Lake and saw feet sticking out of the bushes. Lance’s body was found under the overgrown brush.

waterdog lake murder

Pathologist Peter Benson, M.D., testified Lance had died from blood loss due to multiple stab wounds. Two wounds to the heart were each fatal; two other wounds to the lungs were potentially life threatening. There were numerous defensive wounds to the arms and hands, as well as scratches, scrapes and bruises.

Stephanie Olson, Kendra Durham, and Nicole Guthrie, students at Ralston Intermediate School at the time of the Turner homicide, testified that about 3:00 p.m. on October 2, 1984, they left school, skipping volleyball practice, and went down to Waterdog Lake to smoke cigarettes. A man whom Stephanie described as having dirty blond hair, pimples, and dirty teeth with a retainer approached them and started a conversation. He told them his name was Jon and said he had graduated from Carlmont High School the year before. He was drinking beer from a tall Budweiser can, which he offered to the girls.

The girls left after about 20 minutes. Another Ralston student saw a man with dirty blond hair near Waterdog Lake about 4:00 p.m. (None of these witnesses was asked to identify defendant in the courtroom. Olson, Durham and Guthrie gave the police a description of the man that was incorporated into a composite drawing used in the investigation of the Turner homicide. As discussed below (post, p. 7), in his confession to FBI agents, defendant described talking with the three girls shortly before he killed Turner.)

Waterdog lake is haunted.

Interesting enough the legend of the haunting revolves around  a boy that drowned at the lake, and there have been multiple drownings at the lake.  However one of the most interesting things about Waterdog lake are the old tunnels that were built over a hundred years ago where Satanic Rituals are believed to have taken place.  Is it possible that Jon Dunkel used these tunnels once to perform some ritual before or after he committed his murder?

During my brief stay there I did get multiple EVPs and I did hear a disembodied voice that was captured on camera, when noone was around.  Would you like to see me go back, if so let me know by leaving a comment below.

Poltergeist activity is one of the best pieces of evidence to capture on video for any paranormal investigator, however for many years it is also one of the most elusive forms of evidence for me to capture during my paranormal career.poltergeist ghost

A Poltergeist is defined in Webster’s dictionary as:

a ghost or other supernatural being supposedly responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects thrown around.

These 3 Poltergeist videos were captured on video camera from some of the most haunted locations in the United States during our livestreams.   These 3 poltergeist videos show real paranormal activity and have not been faked or altered to depict any other activity than what had transpired on the livestream.  Some of our viewers might have even been present during these moments when they happened.

One of the worst natural disasters that ever occurred to Japan happened in 2011 was the Tsunami which was triggered of the coast of Japan. Current estimates believe that just under 16,000 people died as a result of this disaster.  A week prior to this tragic we did a live ghost box session, were we focused on asking the box about future natural disasters that could affect the world.  Interesting enough we got responses, warning us of Tsunami that was about to hit Japan. To watch the clip watch and listen below.

Since then I had wondered whether or not I was speaking to a fallen angel or a ghost that was warning our viewers who were watching from Japan.  I thought it would interesting experiment to try once again to see if get responses from Bezel.  If you happen to hear anything in the video that could be a response please document the prediction by leaving a comment below!

Lylet Mirror – Summoning a Demon Gone Wrong

The Demonic Sallie House Ep 5 – THE CONJURING GONE WRONG, While doing the conjuring ritual a real demonic attack was caught on tape, I lost my vision, and ended up the demons sigil scratched on my neck! During the Sallie House paranormal investigation, we decided to try to summon the demon Lilith using a ritual (the Lylet Mirror) from the The Munich Manual of Demonic Magic. This scary ritual is real and do NOT attempt to replicate this ritual in anyway! In the grimoire it gives a specific instructions on how to summon and conjure the Lilith demon using a mirror and by saying specific incantations.

The Lylet mirror ritual is extremely dangerous and can go wrong at anytime. By using the Lilith (Lylet) mirror it can result in demonic attacks, and possession, however it is reported in Munich Manual of Demonic Magic , that if the ritual is done right that the summoner will be able to see what specific crimes were done in the house. we thought it would be interesting to try in the Sallie House due to possible past crimes that could have occurred in the home.

lilith demon

About the Demon Lilith

Lilith (/ˈlɪlɪθ/; Hebrew: לִילִית‎ Lîlîṯ) is a figure in Jewish mythology, developed earliest in the Babylonian Talmud (3rd to 5th centuries). Lilith is often envisioned as a dangerous demon of the night, who is sexually wanton, and who steals babies in the darkness. The character is generally thought to derive in part from a historically far earlier class of female demons (lilītu) in ancient Mesopotamian religion, found in cuneiform texts of Sumer, the Akkadian Empire, Assyria, and Babylonia.

In Jewish folklore, from the satirical book Alphabet of Sirach (c. 700–1000) onwards, Lilith appears as Adam’s first wife, who was created at the same time (Rosh Hashanah) and from the same dirt as Adam – compare Genesis 1:27. (This contrasts with Eve, who was created from one of Adam’s ribs: Genesis 2:22.) The legend developed extensively during the Middle Ages, in the tradition of Aggadah, the Zohar, and Jewish mysticism. For example, in the 13th-century writings of Isaac ben Jacob ha-Cohen, Lilith left Adam after she refused to become subservient to him and then would not return to the Garden of Eden after she had coupled with the archangel Samael.

Evidence in later Jewish materials is plentiful, but little information has survived relating to the original Sumerian, Akkadian, Assyrian and Babylonian view of these demons. While the connection is almost universally agreed upon, recent scholarship has disputed the relevance of two sources previously used to connect the Jewish lilith to an Akkadian lilītu—the Gilgamesh appendix and the Arslan Tash amulets.

In Hebrew-language texts, the term lilith or lilit (translated as “night creatures”, “night monster”, “night hag”, or “screech owl”) first occurs in a list of animals in Isaiah 34:14, either in singular or plural form according to variations in the earliest manuscripts. In the Dead Sea Scrolls 4Q510-511, the term first occurs in a list of monsters. In Jewish magicalinscriptions on bowls and amulets from the 6th century CE onwards, Lilith is identified as a female demon and the first visual depictions appear.

The resulting Lilith legend continues to serve as source material in modern Western culture, literature, occultism, fantasy, and horror.

About the Munich Manual of Demonic Magic

The Munich Manual of Demonic Magic (CLM 849 of the Bavarian State Library, Munich) demonic magicis a fifteenth-century grimoire manuscript. The text, composed in Latin, is largely concerned with demonology and necromancy.

Richard Kieckhefer edited the text of the manuscript in 1998 under the title Forbidden Rites: A Necromancer’s Manual of the Fifteenth Century. Portions of the text, in English translation, are presented in Forbidden Ritesas well, embedded within the author’s essays and explanations on the Munich Manual in specific and grimoires in general. The book has yet to be published in translation in its entirety.
